George Snitz

Mechanical Engineer in Tulsa, Oklahoma

I have eleven years of experience that includes mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering. I am currently employed as a Product Development Engineer and my recent focus has been sensors and algorithms.

Three simple traits have enabled my success:

- I'm a calm and easy-going person that cares about those with whom I work
- I am a organized, fastidious, and have an excellent memory
- I communicate well to a wide array of audiences

Working for a mid-sized company means I wear multiple hats at any given time; customer service, technical support, proposal & specification writing, hardware & software testing, production support, new concept development, vendor qualification, and product management are all components of my day-to-day work.

I have performed well in structured roles with defined workflows where a solution is known to exist, as well as in unstructured roles requiring investigative work where the solution may not be so easily found. I enjoy learning new material and problem solving. I thrive when frequently doing something different.

I have a wide array of experience that includes the selection or specification of pumps, valves, instrumentation, enclosures, power supplies, relays, wiring, connectors, fans, gaskets, catalysts, and acoustically absorptive materials. I've written extensive product documentation intended for use by engineers, technicians, and customers. I've taught myself a few programming languages such as IEC Compliant Function Block & Structured Text, JavaScript, and Python. I consider myself an extreme generalist; I know how to do a lot of different things, and at the same time, I know when to call in subject matter experts.
